Checking In, Beach Nourishment, Clean & Comfortable Homes
As visitors we are certain you are more than eager to pack your bags, reconnect wtih family and friends, and head to the Carolina coast to enjoy the peace and privacy of an Oak Island getaway. The Coastal Vacation Resorts team has made adjustments to some of our business practicesand implemented processes that are critical to creating one-of-a-kind, fun, safe and memorable vacations for our vacationing guests.
Our goal is to work hard and do all we possibly can to offer private retreats for families that are safe, clean, and spacious. Our practices may have changed since your last visit so we hope this information will serve as a guide through an upcoming peaceful stay with us at Coastal Vacation Resorts Oak Island.
The Check-In Process
Our main office building is open, you may check-in at our front desk or if you prefer a contactless check-in process, we will place your packet in a box on the exterior of the building next to our main entrance between 3:00pm and 5:00pm, and Coastal Vacation Resorts will phone you if your home is ready before 3:00pm.
As such, please make arrangements for restroom usage before your arrival. All vacationing guests are encouraged to call (910) 278-5405 or email firstname.lastname@example.org ahead of their scheduled check-in with any concerns or questions. Our team is ready to support and serve our guests MONDAY – SATURDAY from 9 am – 5 pm.
NEW IN 2023 - Many of our homes have been converted to keyless entry homes. You are welcome to stop by and see our friendly staff for your check-in packet, which will have detailed information on how to access your home using the new system or go directly to your home at the appropriate time.
Have we enhanced your cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting practices?
Absolutely! Coastal Vacation Resorts is committed to providing a clean, comfortable, and safe vacation home to our valued guests using sanitizers provided by our commercial cleaning product supplier. Before check-in, all rental accommodations are thoroughly and professionally cleaned followed by an in-depth inspection. We are always evaluating and improving our techniques for cleaning and disinfecting commonly used surfaces.
To give our guests peace of mind during their stay we encourage them to take even greater measures if they wish, by adding the following suggested items to their packing list:
- Blankets and pillows.
- Toilet tissue, paper towels, hand soaps, and disinfectant cleaners.
- Food and Beverages.
Local Stores & Restaurants
Many new restaurants and stores have recently opened due to the popularity of vacationing on Oak Island. Also, all of the wonderful restaurants in the Oak Island / Southport area are continuing to serve delicious take-out meals for the entire family, with some offering nightly specials and home delivery options. Support our local businesses by dining in or ordering take-out during your stay!

Important Beach Information
Beautiful Oak Island experienced major storm surge damage from past Hurricanes. Ahead of your vacation, please check the Town of Oak Island’s website for updates to your specific rental home’s location relative to beach access and the closest access point to the beach strand. To protect dune restoration walking, running, playing, and climbing across the sand dunes except in designated areas is prohibited.
Be safe and know the Rip Current risks at the beach. Beach warning flag information signs are posted at all 65 public beach access locations and provide guests with a system to identify beach conditions. Scan the QR code to see what the current conditions are and to understand what each flag color represents.
