“This house is perfect for families, with a very well stocked kitchen for cooking meals and toddler-friendly tableware. We even baked a cobbler on a rainy day. The house was spotless and well decorated. We loved the ample outdoor space: two covered decks and a backyard. There are many beaches to choose from on the island but the closest is a 10-minute walk through beautiful marshes with bridges where you can stop and watch birds. The neighborhood was nice and quiet, but restaurants and groceries are just a few minutes away. Our family which includes a 2 and 5 year old had a great getaway. We explored the island, and when it rained stayed in and played games (there are many to choose from at the house). Some of our highlights include The Point (a kid-friendly beach with zero waves), the lighthouse, and kayaking the canal that runs through the middle of the island. We would definitely come back!” 7/9-7/13/22 “Our family just enjoyed this beautiful coastal home. It was one of the tidiest, cheerful, and welcoming homes we’ve visited in a long time. We were comfortable and found everything we needed with ease and had a great time gathering around the table and playing games in the living room. The walk across to the beach is lovely and scenic. We all enjoyed nearby Veterans Park immensely for the sunset and my son whose an avid fisher was able to enjoy the pier and the friendly locals while the rest of us sat and talked. The kitchen has most everything you need but I suggest bringing your favorite spices and cooking accoutrements. There is a great set of knives and a cutting board, coffee maker and filters. Plenty of glassware and mugs. It was great having access to a washer and dryer, a vacuum and broom for cleaning up sand. The back porch is adorable, with two chairs and lovely cushions to gather in the evening. The neighborhood is very safe, and the neighbors are friendly. Plenty of parking. This home is perfect, rain or shine.
