DAMAGE
DEPOSIT vs RELEASE FEE
 The security deposit is a minimum of $150.00 . It is due when making the final payment. Security deposits will be refunded within 45 days of departure, provided the home has been left clean and undamaged.
Some reasons money may not be refunded from your security deposit are for missing items, lost keys and late checkouts. Should these charges exceed the security deposit, the guest will be billed.
All rental, cleaning and security deposit funds are held in an interest-bearing account at Branch Banking & Trust with interest to be earned by Coastal Vacation Resorts. All fees charged belong wholly to Coastal Vacation Resorts. Balances not paid when due will accrue a $25.00 late charge. Pet friendly homes require a damage deposit plus a $ 100 ($50 for each additional dog). plus tax non-refundable pet fee.the Release Fee may not be used in lieu of paying a security deposit on pet friendly homes.
RELEASE FEE IN LIEU OF DAMAGE DEPOSIT
In lieu of a damage deposit we are offer a Release Fee . For only $50 you may purchase the release fee waiver to cover accidental damages up to $3500 for a maximum of 30 days rental. Electing the use of the Release Fee does not negate your responsibilities as a tenant. If you choose to participate in this program, further details will be enclosed with your reservation confirmation. If you do not choose the Release Fee you will be charged the security deposit amount established by the owner. You will be notified of charges made against your security deposit. Guests will be responsible for any damages or theft. Please report damage upon occurrence.
